Ignoring Query to other database

Should you find your mysql terminal returning ‘Ignoring query to other database’ whenever you input a command, exit and log in with the command below

root@bt:~#mysql -v -u root -p

and then enter your root password when prompted as you normally would

    Thanks for posting, In my case after forgetting the root password I recovered using instruction here http://www.cyberciti.biz/tips/recover-mysql-root-password.html, after that I started getting this error may be it has to do with permission of as describe here http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/resetting-permissions.html (section C.5.4.1.2 first para)
