Chromium in the root

Yes, above is my pathetic attempt at a cool title for this post

What follows has been posted numerous times already. I actually found it in a number of blogs and forums already but this is how i give back.

I recently upgraded by Backtrack5 gnome and found google chrome was no longer running. Getting google chrome to run on backtrack is a hack so it follows that the update would have patched it. However, below is how to do it

1. Download Google Chrome

2. Type ‘gedit usr/root/google-chrome‘ in the terminal. This will open usr/root/google-chrome in the gedit text editor. You can use whatever text editor you please.

3. At the last line simply add –user-data-dir and save

That should be it. Try and open Google chrome and it will work, if not a restart might be using
